Occupier Case Study: SoPost Limited

Posted:

SoPost Limited was established in 2012 with the aim of developing relationships with existing and new brands to increase their market share through the creation of cloud based infrastructure and data analytics – assessing customer needs and measuring customer satisfaction.

Initially a team of three, by 2017 the SoPost team had grown to 16 staff working globally from offices in The Core, Science Central, Newcastle upon Tyne; London; and the Empire State Building, New York.  In 2016, SoPost increased their office space in The Core by 150%.

A base within The Core provides SoPost with a high specification serviced office and communications, the flexibility to increase their office space in line with organisation growth, and, an excellent and accessible location for their team and clients.  A base on Science Central also provides access to colleagues in Newcastle University’s Digital Institute where collaboration is beginning, focusing on shared objectives in cloud based technologies and data analytics. SoPost has also established charitable partnerships with communities local to Science Central.

Half of SoPost’s revenue is drawn from global markets out with the United Kingdom and the organisation is on target to break into seven international markets including European and Australasian in 2017.

“We don’t just have a room with a desk at The Core, we have an awesome home for our fast-growing business with links to Newcastle University, a world leader in Computing Science.” – Jonathan Grubin, Founder and CEO.
