It won’t be long until The Core has new neighbours at Science Central!
The Urban Sciences building is close to completion, with a target date of August 2017. The building will hold Newcastle University’s School of Computing Science.
The state-of-the-art structure has been designed as a research experiment. It will be trailing new energy systems and have a web of digital infrastructure connecting walls, windows and fittings through thousands of sensors that will help the University better understand how to make buildings more sustainable and efficient.
