Creative Space Management invites you to The Science of Data. At a time where much discussion and debate on data and big data is taking place, join us to find out about the challenges and benefits of big data and how our future could be shaped by data analysis.

Delivered by a partnership of Creative Space Management and Newcastle University, we’re excited to welcome:

Paul Watson is Professor of Computer Science and Director of Digital Institute at Newcastle University. Paul is the Principal Investigator of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cloud Computing for Big Data, a million pound initiative training the next generation of experts in big data analysis. Professor Watson’s research interest is in scalable information management with a focus on Data Analytics and the Internet of Things and his work bridges academia, the public and private sectors.

Steve Caughey is CEO of Arjuna Technologies, an innovative software product development organisation, and Director of Newcastle University’s Cloud Innovation Centre providing support to public and private sector organisations to strategically utilise big data analysis and the Internet of Things within their core operation. The success of Steve’s work was influential in Newcastle University achieving £30M funding for a flagship National Innovation Centre for Data scheduled to open on Science Central in 2020.

We look forward to seeing you there!
